Congregational Development |
Congregational Development is the development of the congregation as a community of faith with a unique identity, purpose and dynamics. Understanding the health and dynamic evolution of its members is critical. Through a series of facilitated workshops and surveys the leaders of congregations are better prepared to predict patterns of behavior, unique aspects of community culture, and best practices which can support healthy mission, vision and development. Various tools are used including the 12 Marks of Healthy Church Behavior and Readiness for Change Assessment Tools. These tools provide a framework of essential activity any church of any size should undertake. They are a starting place and are used as an ongoing reference for periodic assessment. The basic components of Congregational Development are:
» Assessment: Assessment of readiness for visioning and planning
» Definition: Core values articulation, Mission statement creation, and Vision discernment and definition
» Implementation: Strategic planning based on values, mission and vision resulting is a set of goals, objectives, anticipated results, assignments and timing |

Leadership and Staff Retreats |
Vestry, Leadership, Staff retreats and Board retreats. These can be one day or multiple days extending throughout a weekend. |
Organizational Development |
Review of the current organization and ministry teams to understand how work gets done. Effective work groups are organized around a common mission (purpose) and Vision. |
